Shop Talk - Community GuidelinesÂ
Â
- The purpose of shop talk is to exchange expertise and enjoy one another’s achievements.Â
- As attendance has grown, which increases group knowledge, opportunities to share or ask for help have become more limited because we have limited time and more folks want to join in.Â
- There is some pleasure in rambling on when we have the stage, but we now want to suggest some guidelines (we don’t do “rules” here!) so we all get the most out of each session.Â
- That said, we suggest that when you sign up in the chat to share or ask a question you limit each turn to one project, question or thought. There is always another meeting and no one is limited in how many times you join in, but to allow others their turn let’s try for one topic per turn.Â
- Have your photos (if you are using photos) ready to share and be concise if you have a question. The best part of asking a question is the chance to hear the answers or suggestions from our group, so the sooner you get your question out the sooner you will get helpful information.Â
- And if you are new or just want to say hi, we want to know your name, where you live, what your craft or profession is, and perhaps what you might bring in knowledge to the group.
- So, the ask is that you keep up the good work but be concise and respectful of others’ time.
Building Essential Craftsman has been a major learning experience - thanks for joining us on the journey!
